Application Notes
TweenŽ 20 is a non-ionic surfactant often used to lower the surface tension of aqueous explant disinfectant solutions. The concentration of TweenŽ 20 in the disinfectant solution should at the minimum be greater than the critical micelle concentration 0.006% (w/w). Disinfectants such as hypochlorous acid (Bleach) will hydrolyze TweenŽ 20 with time. Prepare your solutions immediately before disinfecting.
