Most CELLnTEC mono-layer cell systems may also be grown in lifted culture to form 3-D models. These models accurately model the in vivo situation, and can be generated from the same progenitor-cell system over many years providing excellent comparability and cost-effectiveness.

CELLnTEC progenitor cell systems may also be used in complex, multiple cell-type models. For example, using our vaginal cell systems we have successfully developed CellEstrous, the world's first in vitro system to model a tissue with a highly dynamic structure in vivo – the vaginal epithelium throughout the estrous cycle.

In addition, we have also recently released a 3-D bladder model, are continuing to develop new 3-D organotypic models for example of human cornea and large airway epithelium
