The JCSG+™ protein crystallization screen is designed for quick screenings of initial crystallization and solubility conditions for biological macromolecules. JCSG+™ covers a range of crystallization formulations of varying buffers, salts, precipitants, and pH. The buffers used give final solution pHs between 4.2 and 10.5. Many different precipitants are used, including volatile reagents such as ethanol, high molecular weight polymers such as PEG- 8000, and salts such as ammonium sulfate. |

Biological macromolecules are first incorporated into a lipidic material (LCP), and in a second step the LCP is dispensed in portions of approximately 200 nanoliters.
